Graeme eventually came away from the Eneco Tour with a third place in Stage 4. While he felt that the speed and fitness were there, Graeme admits that difficulty positioning himself in the final kilometres meant he didn't notch up a win. The next race on his program is the Tour of Poland where he will try again for a win. Meanwhile Graeme will spend the next week in Buttgen, Germany for a track familiarisation camp with the Australian national team. It will be an opportunity to get back on the t

Graeme took the prologue in Hasselt yesterday fairly easy. With a track record of crashing in wet time trials, he cruised around the course in an effort to save his skin and some energy for the coming road stages. Today's stage has been described as the hardest of the tour but if Graeme can get over the steep climbs look out for him at the finish.

After a solid block of training in Girona, Spain Graeme is looking forward to the Eneco Tour which starts on wednesday in Belgium. The stage routes pass close to home and through familiar training territiory so Graeme will be looking forward to making the most of some local knowledge and notch up a late season win.

In the Ster Elecktro Tour is the Netherlands last week Graeme made his way through the hilly stages and was awaiting the final flat stage into Eindhoven but unfortunately he crashed and hit a barrier 1.5km before the finish of that stage... Things have taken a turn for the worse with a suspected broken bone in his hand. As a precautionary measure his hand has been put in a cast and will be re-xrayed next week where a certain diagnosis will be made once the swelling has subsided.

Graeme almost took out a win in the first stage of Dauphine Libere yesterday but was overtaken on the line by Heinrich Haussler and Tom Boonen. Graeme kicked strongly and looked to be in a winning position but had to be content with third in the end. Today's stage may be another chance for Graeme to score a win, so long as he can find his way over the climbs with the lead group.
